Feeling Stuck? You’ve Circled This Mountain Long Enough

What would a step of faith “north” look like for you?

Are you feeling stuck in life, repeating the same mistakes, and wondering, "How did I end up here again?"

The circumstances may be different, but the struggle feels familiar.

You’ve made another promise to yourself. Read another book. Started over with renewed determination. Yet an old thought, fear, or response brings you back to the same place.

Perhaps your mountain involves food or weight. But perhaps it has nothing to do with either.

It might be worry that interrupts your sleep. Fear of being seen or heard. Words you’ve spoken over yourself for years. A relationship pattern. Or a calling from God that you keep postponing until you feel more confident, more qualified, or more ready.

You love the Lord. You want to move forward.

And you’re tired of circling.

Taking a Step of Faith Beyond the Circle

In Deuteronomy, the Lord gave His people a clear instruction:
“You have circled this mountain long enough; turn northward.” (Deuteronomy 2:3).

That instruction was given to Israel in a particular place and time. Yet it offers a meaningful picture for us: there comes a time to change direction and move forward.

What if your next step isn’t another promise to try harder?

What if it begins with recognizing the thought that keeps bringing you back—and learning to respond to it with God’s truth?

A step of faith may be small enough to take today. Speaking truth where you’ve rehearsed defeat. Having a conversation you’ve avoided. Beginning something God has placed on your heart.

You don’t need to see the whole path to take the next step.

This Work Reaches Beyond Weight Loss

Many people first discover my work through Weightloss Without Willpower™, where we help women lose physical and emotional weight without dieting.

Through Christian mind coaching, I help women and men work toward breaking unhealthy patterns that affect their relationships, confidence, habits, calling, and daily walk with the Lord.

We address the thoughts and recurring responses that affect our relationships, confidence, habits, calling, and daily walk with the Lord.

The foundation is:
Renew the Mind on the Word of God + Retrain the Brain using Neuroscience Techniques rooted in Scripture.

Renewing your mind with God’s Word directs you toward truth. Practical techniques help you practice responding differently when familiar thoughts and feelings arise. Practical techniques help us practice responding differently when familiar thoughts and feelings arise.

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” (Romans 12:2).

We can know a verse and still need help applying it in the moment when fear speaks loudly or an old habit feels automatic. That is where guided practice and encouragement can help us begin walking out what we believe.

Seeing the Mountain Is a Beginning

Through the Christian MindCoach Method™, I guide people through four steps that connect recognition, God’s Word, and action.

It begins with See It: noticing the thought or old script that has been influencing your response.

Then comes Say It: learning to speak the truth of God’s Word into that place.

Recognizing a pattern gives us something specific to work with. Speaking truth gives us something new to practice.

And there is more to the method—because we want that truth to become part of how we live.

Five Areas of Life. One Invitation to Move Forward.

During our 5-Day Wisdom Challenge™, we explored the mind, body, heart, calling, and daily walk.

We made room to consider where we had been circling and what moving forward could look like. We opened Scripture, practiced techniques together, and encouraged one another to take a step of faith.

Now I’m bringing those themes together in a fresh, interactive experience:

TURN NORTH
